First blog....

For a first blog I could’nt have picked up a tougher topic. And coming from a person who has a history of making mistakes.... I dont know how you shall take it. However, in my defense, I point out that I have made a lot of mistakes in life, but I have repeated only a few.

Introspect. The word seems quite simple but it has got a very deep meaning. It’s like an iceberg. Its ten times inside compared to what you can see on the surface. And that is exactly what you are supposed to do. Look inside. Ignore the surface.

I’m sure each one of us has made mistakes in life be it is friendship, relationship or business. Mistakes are a part of life. But whether they are good parts or bad is upto us. Mistakes teach you a lot. If you learn from mistakes it is a good part of life. If you don’t…. well….

I cannot think of any better example then myself. I have made a lot of mistakes as anybody. Some are very very embarrassing, some are comic but most were frustrating. Looking back I (like everybody) wish that I had not done certain things that I did or that I should have done certain things which I did not do. Repentance is all that is possible now and a promise to one’s self to avoid such mistakes in life again which brings us back to introspection.

The process described above is called introspection. Looking back at positive or negative things and trying to absorb something from it is introspection.

Improvisation is the result of introspection. Atleast it should be so. Learning from introspection and improvising on a similar situation to get different results is a very integral part of learning from mistakes. This may sound confusing to a few but it is actually what everyone (almost) does without realizing it sometimes.

My intention behind starting this topic is a wish that introspection should be done on a regular basis. It should not be an activity of timepass to be done when you are alone and with nothing better to do. It should be an activity that should be done on a regular basis by everybody. And if you can find somebody with whom you can share your introspections that would be the best. Sharing shall help you find ways and directions of thoughts that you would never have thought of yourself.

But introspection is only half the story. Don’t forget to improvise. Convert you mistakes into the good part of life.

Dull topic. Therefore dull subject matter. Hope I’ll be able to find a better topic next time.

Till then….

Cheers!!!
